Hoping this week will be our really last cold week!
Looking back over the winter it has been long!
Some memorable moments tho- doing agility at 16deg. with a wind chill of 0!! This winter I learned just how committed some of you are to your dogs- or perhaps how crazy some of us can be!!
Heading to Syracuse at -18 to go to run thrus! That was a fun day, long and cold tho!
A couple nice trials- one with better results than the other for Chaos, but we had great company and fun and glad to share in others sucesses.
Most of the dogs took this winter in pretty good stride, but now that spring is on it's way, I am seeing some really happy and bouncy dogs! Bear with them- they will settle in time, spring has the same effect on animals as it does us people.
Another sign of spring- Therapy Dog and Canine Good Citizen Classes taking place on Cooperstown. We have been pretty lucky. The sun has shined on us almost all the time.
First herding lesson of the spring for me and Chaos last Saturday. We went to Sara Reiter's to work with Barb Armata. We usually go to Esperance to see Barb. The lesson was indoors in an arena that day. We did well, considering it has been awhile. I was surprised to find we BOTH remembered some things and settled pretty well. Mostly happy I remembered to stay still and calm and not use my voice or hands so much!
Chaos has been helping me with sheep chores in a small space over the winter, but that just is not enough for her. She needs to be able to really move them. Still too much ice and snowpack outside to run sheep but it was fun to do a little.
Looking forward to spring
